General Auditions
Joining the Elite Empire dance team will allow the dancers to participate in the bulk of our dance activities. General competition categories, performances, and all team bonding activities fall under our general team. Our team practices 2-3 times a week in order to continue to improve upon their dance technique and learn new choreography!

2025 General Auditions will consist of 3 parts: Technique, Choreography, and an Interview

Audition Breakdown
1
Technique
Dancers must showcase basic technical skills during the audition process. We will delve into these technical skills in depth during the workshop week and briefly revisit them on audition day one. The skill list will be sent in the follow up email after the registration form is completed.

Choreography
Dancers will learn and perform a 4-8 eight-count dance. This will be a new routine for everyone auditioning. The routine will be taught during the audition to test how fast dancers can memorize and perfect a piece of choreography. We will practice this skill during workshop week.

The Interview
Interview questions will gauge what the auditionee's dance goals are, their personality etc. We want to ensure everyone understands our values as Elite Empire Dancers, and how to uphold them! This will allow them to practice their interviewing skills, and receive feedback. A question list will be sent after registration has been completed
Stand Battle Auditions
Stand Battle is the category at Majorette competitions where dancers face off against other teams. We are looking for dancers who are energetic and fast learners. Flexibility and stunting are not required but are considered advantageous.
